Urgency of the research. The information society makes demands on modern education, because the processes of virtualization and digitalization, the incredible pace of development of digital technologies and the accumulation of information determine the reform of the content of training, the presentation of educational material for the new generation. This makes the current issue of this study relevant.
Target setting. In the educational system, teachers, scientists, and managers face the problem of finding and introducing into the educational process creative approaches to the teaching of socio-humanitarian disciplines, taking into account the peculiarities of modern youth.
Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. Features of of Generation “Z” are reflected in the works of many scientists, in particular, N. Howe, W. Strauss, D. Tapscott, G. Small, M. Isayeva, A. Kulakova, N. Khudyakova, M. Dolzhenkova and others. L. Bayeva, J. Coates, O. Fiofanova argue that the modern generation should be trained and educated in a new way, with using creative approaches.
The research objective. To analyze the values and values of the modern student – a representative of Generation “Z”, to summarize the practical work experience in using creative approaches to the teaching of social and humanities disciplines.
The statement of basic material. The article deals with the value orientations, attitudes, life views of modern students - representatives of Generation “Z”, for whom digital technologies are an everyday reality. The experience of working with students during class and independent work is given. The authors, based on the latest research, prove that the modern generation with its peculiarities needs new creative methods and teaching methods that will take into account the specifics of cognitive activity of modern youth, its values, needs, psychological characteristics and technical skills. It is necessary to change not only teaching and learning methods, but also the style of communication between the subjects of the educational process, the form of presentation of information, knowledge, preparation of a new type of educational and methodical literature, active use of information and communication technologies.
Conclusions. Thus, taking into account the features of Generation “Z” will help to make the learning process as interesting, attractive, useful, meaningful and qualitative as possible, to form critical, analytical thinking, aspiration for self-education and self-actualization in modern youth, using the latest technologies, creativity in the learning process.
