Urgency of the research. Since information society essentially increases cumulative knowledge, to operate it in full proves to be an impossible task. Under such circumstances, the need for selective knowledge acquisition grounded on certain criteria-based, thematic and argument-involving priorities is becoming ever more important.
Target setting. The era of information society is accompanied not by an increase but rather by a decrease in the general level of information competency in the format of inefficient knowledge operation. This results from both the confusion due to the unprecedented amounts of information and the erosion of the culture of scientific thinking.
Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. Over the previous decade, various aspects of epistemological competency have caught the attention of such researchers as P. Bourdieu, M. Nussbaum, C. O’Connor, J. Weatherall, J. Hochschild, K. Einstein, A. Rutherford. In Ukraine, the most integral analysis of the subjects in question has been provided in the works by V. Levkulych.
The research objective. The aim of the article is to outline both the significance of epistemological competency for science in the era of social turbulence and the means of its progressive cultivation. The tasks are to comprehend cause and effect relationships underlying the aim mentioned.
The statement of basic material. The principal thematic, conceptual and argumentation approaches to the problem of epistemological competency in the era of information society and global turbulence have been considered.
Conclusions. The enhanced level of epistemological competency is acquiring the features of a strategic task for the needs of effective science functioning in the present-day format. The achievement of this aim is possible, primarily, due to cultivating critical thinking and analytical skills, the ability to demarcate the epistemological array relying on the principles of objectivity, impartiality, correctness and accordance to existing realities.

Therefore the policy has transtemporal relevance. The potential for relevance increases significantly in the modern era of global turbulence and social transformations.
Target setting. The issue is that an adequate response to today's challenges is fundamentally impossible under the conditions of the matrix for stereotypic worldview that was formed during the three previous decades.
Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. In the Western science, F. Coombs, N. Ferguson, K. Lesh, J. Haidt, H. Plaggrose, J. Lindsay, J. Israel, V. Easterly are considered to be the authors of the most thorough works devoted to the issue of worldview orientations of scientific and educational policy. Among domestic researchers, V. Lugovoi, Z. Samchuk, O. Slyusarenko, and Zh. Talanova made the greatest contribution to the development of the mentioned issues.
The research objective. The purpose of the research is a critical analysis of the main shortcomings of modern scientific and educational policy. The tasks are to identify the worldview conditioning of key issues that stand in the way for the effective functioning of the scientific and educational sphere.
The statement of basic material. The main factors of modern scientific and educational policy are analyzed, which are mostly the result of wrong worldview orientations, and therefore require a thorough reflective rethinking.
Conclusions. The main issues and negative trends in the scientific and educational sphere of modern Ukraine are determined by worldview, criterial and axiological vaguenes. First, they need reflexive efforts in the direction of rethinking false stereotypes.

Urgency of the research. Disclosing the views of domestic thinkers on the role of religion is an important aspect of the development of modern Ukrainian society, which contributes to a better understanding of religious freedom, freedom of conscience and the possibility of achieving ideological freedom. Reproducing the specifics of religious and social ties contributes to the prospect of achieving freedom of thought at the individual level.
Target setting. The question of the connection between religion and society is relevant in today's global and multicultural society. The need to implement the principle of tolerance in the Ukrainian polyreligious society determines the importance of religious studies of the role of religion.
Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. Such scientists as L. Filipovych, M. Loboda, V. Volkovsky, V. Fenych, A Kruglashov and others were engaged in the development of the outlined problems.
The research objective. The purpose of this article is to reveal the set of views of Mykhailo Drahomanov in the context of socio-religious relations, where by reflecting the full range of their options for relationships, the role of religion is determined.
The statemans of basic materials. In his works, Mykhailo Drahomanov singles out the characteristic features of the history of religiosity with its variants of embodiment of influence on society, where religion can both promote development and limit it. Progress, according to Mykhailo Drahomanov is an important aspect of the direction of society, which in connection with religion is possible under the condition of religious freedom, which will create a basis for freedom of conscience. Increasing the level of education in matters of religion promotes tolerance in society, determines the prospects for its development and helps to avoid the limitations of the worldview. Examples of restrictions on the will to believe, due to the influence of a particular religion, clearly illustrate the need to respect the possibility of choosing one's own worldview.
Conclusions. The historical retrospective of the role of religiosity reveals the options for considering social positioning in relation to different periods of religion, and the universality of Drahomanov's views allows us to identify the main options for the interaction of religion and society. Filling the legal framework with specific examples of religious views shows the importance of respect for freedom of conscience in modern society.

Urgency of the research. Today the global education system is being formed. In many countries around the world, several universities and departments of universities belonging to the global education system have been established on a non-governmental basis. The word “global” indicates the purpose of this education system to train highly qualified specialists to solve global problems. At the same time, this name reflects another side: the possibility of using this system as a reference assessment of the level of education for any country in the world in accordance with the UN Declaration of Human Rights in Education.
Target setting. The modern world educational space is in the process of formation, national educational systems have fundamental differences and their own centuries-old experience of education and upbringing. At the same time, the process of formation of the global system of higher education is irreversible, and therefore, in essence, is a search for compromises and adequate responses to the challenges of modern information civilization.
Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. Issues of reforming the education sector, especially under the influence of modern trends, such as globalization, integrative processes, dealt with such Ukrainian scientists as: V. Kremen, O. Kovaleva, O. Luchaninova. Among foreign researchers, M. Elbrow, P. Scott, and R. Henvey dealt with this problem.
The research objective. The process of formation of the global higher education system is influenced by a large number of external factors. The aim of the article is to analyze the systemic influences on the formation of the global system of higher education and their features.
The statement of basic materials. The global education system is conceived as a system that does not contradict any existing education systems in the United States, Europe, Ukraine, etc.; it has no intersections with them. The global education system is a global non-governmental system. It does not enter into any conflicts with educational associations. The global education system focuses primarily on attracting to its orbit prominent figures in the world in the field of science, education, culture, art.
Conclusions. Thus, the article examines the trends of modern information civilization, namely: globalization processes, interna-tionalization of education, integration and digitalization, mobility and communication, cross-cultural literacy as a priority of cultural universals, which play a significant and systemic role in the global higher education system. Promising research in this context is the study of the interaction of national and global trends in the formation of a new educational paradigm.
