Urgency of the research. The European integration aspirations of Ukraine determine the formation of its state policy following the trends and priorities of the development of digital healthcare in the European Union. This makes it expedient to study and implement the European experience of digitalisation of higher pharmaceutical education in Ukraine, taking into account regulatory and applied achievements.
Target setting. Global trends in the development of the pharmaceutical market, and the search for approaches to the integration of the domestic pharmaceutical sector into the world, in particular the European one, require, on the one hand, taking into account the challenges associated with the complex socio-cultural situation in Ukraine, and, on the other hand, should be focused on the needs of the State and society regarding the prospects for the development of the pharmaceutical services market and their compliance with the best pharmaceutical standards. In recent years, the digitalization of the pharmaceutical sector and the introduction of an electronic healthcare system in European countries have become the most rapid. Given this, it is advisable to analyze the legal and applied aspects of the implementation of European experience in the field of digitalization of higher pharmaceutical education in Ukraine.
Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. The theoretical and practical aspects of the introduction of digital technologies in higher pharmaceutical education have been studied by N. Alyokhina, N. Gorchakova, A. Doroshenko, G. Zaychenko, L. Kaidalova, S. Mosentseva, N. Savchenko, O. Chkhalo and others. However, there is a lack of works that analyze the consistency of regulatory and applied principles of implementation of European experience in the field of digitalisation of higher pharmaceutical education in Ukraine. The purpose of the study is to analyse the regulatory and applied framework for the digitalisation of higher pharmaceutical education in Ukraine in terms of implementing European best practices.
The research objective. The objectives are as follows: to identify and analyse examples of consistency of regulatory and by-laws of Ukraine on the digitalisation of the healthcare sector with European documents; to substantiate the feasibility of implementing European experience in the practice of developing and implementing legal documents on the digitalisation of higher pharmaceutical education, the formation of digital competencies of practicing and future pharmaceutical professionals.
The statement of basic materials. The digital development of the healthcare system in Ukraine is supported by the state and society, as evidenced by the adoption of several important regulatory acts, including the Law of Ukraine “On Medicines”, the Strategy for the Development of Medical Education in Ukraine, and several orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, including “On Approval of the Concept for the Development of Digital Competencies and Approval of the Action Plan for its Implementation”, “On Approval of the Concept for the Development of Electronic Healthcare”. An example of a successful implementation of digital tools in the healthcare system is eHealth, which currently includes several IT systems, registries, digital services, and digital products, the most famous of which is the electronic healthcare system (EHS), a key information and communication system that contains medical data on the health of 35 million Ukrainians and unites most medical institutions and pharmacies in the country into a single digital medical space. Thanks to the UHS, Ukrainian citizens can use digital services such as e-prescriptions, e-referrals, e-medical certificates, etc. The implementation of the state policy on digitalization of higher pharmaceutical education in modern Ukraine is based on the development of digital technologies and covers all specialties. This necessitates overcoming the existing limitations in the development of digital transformation in higher pharmaceutical education, and the formation of future masters of pharmacy digital competencies at the stage of acquiring the future profession. Thus, the use of digital technologies in the educational process should improve the quality of students’ self-study work, stimulate the development of research activities of both teachers and students, create a new didactic and methodological framework for the activities of institutions that would meet the requirements of the digitalisation process, and contribute to the intensification of the educational process under martial law in Ukraine.
Conclusions. The state policy of Ukraine on the digitalisation of higher pharmaceutical education is fully consistent with the priorities of the European Union in this area and also takes into account the experience of developing and implementing European standards and regulations. Regulatory and legal acts of Ukraine in the field of digitalisation of higher pharmaceutical education are developed and implemented in practice to improve the level of digital competencies of practitioners and future masters of pharmacy, to help in the creation of state policy and planning of educational initiatives aimed at increasing the level of digital literacy and practical use of digital technologies in the educational process of higher medical/pharmaceutical education institutions.

Urgency of the research. The war in Ukraine has had a profound impact on all aspects of life, particularly on the formation of personal identity among young people, especially students. The extreme conditions brought about by the war have led to existential crises, raising questions of self-determination, authenticity, and personal choice. The philosophical concepts of existentialism, particularly the ideas of Heidegger and Sartre, offer a deeper understanding of these processes and how external circumstances, such as war, can trigger identity transformation. This research is crucial in the context of modern Ukraine, as it aids in comprehending the war’s impact on the future generation and its role in societal reconstruction.
Target settings. There is a necessity of philosophical comprehension of how the war in Ukraine affects the identity of students who are living in the conditions of existential crisis. The war radically changes life realities, forcing students to rethink their individual and collective identities, putting them before the choice between adapting to new conditions and preserving their authenticity. The problem lies in the fact that in the conditions of constant threat and unrecognizability of the war students face the need not only for physical survival, but also for spiritual self-recognition, which leads to a deep crisis of personal values. This phenomenon needs to be studied through the prism of existential philosophy, particularly Heidegger's ideas about “throwing away” and “becoming”, as well as Sartre's concept of conscious choice.
Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. Important in the context of our research are the works of scientists such as V. Andrushchenko and D. Svyridenko, who analyze in detail academic mobility and its role in the transformation of higher education in Ukraine under conditions of globalization. On the other hand, research by Z. Bakum and I. Dyrda focuses on the problems of language training of international students in Ukraine. An important contribution to the understanding of the philosophical aspect of identity is made by M. Heidegger and J.-P. Sartre, who explore the concepts of authenticity, becoming, and choice in crisis conditions — modern research by B. Bond and J. Knight focus on the impact of internationalization on student identity, emphasizing the importance of intercultural communication and adaptation.
The research objective. The article aims to study the processes of identity transformation of Ukrainian students in the conditions of war and to analyze their self-awareness through the philosophical concepts of existentialism.
The statement of basic materials. The study focuses on the philosophical understanding of the identity transformation of Ukrainian students under the influence of the war. Existential crises caused by war force students to rethink their values and self-definition in the face of uncertainty and threat. According to Heidegger’s concepts, war becomes “abandonment” when students are forced to act in unpredictable conditions that radically change their life plans. It can also be interpreted through Sartre’s ideas about freedom of choice and personality formation through students’ conscious decisions in crises. An important component of the internationalization of education is language preparation and adaptation of international students, which strengthens their ability to integrate into new educational and cultural contexts, as noted by Bakum and Dyrda.
Conclusions. The war significantly impacts the formation of the identity of Ukrainian students, leading to existential crises and compelling them to reconsider their values and choices in challenging circumstances. The use of philosophical concepts from Heidegger and Sartre provides a deeper understanding of the processes of self-determination in crisis conditions. Simultaneously, the internationalization of education, particularly through academic mobility and language training, plays a crucial role in overcoming these challenges. It helps students adapt to new cultural and educational environments, thereby strengthening their ability to integrate and thrive.

Urgency of the research. The cultivation of worldview, national-patriotic feelings, and beliefs emerges as a leading task of the entire educational process, where the younger generation forms evaluation views, principles that determine their perception of the surrounding world, the place of an individual in it, and their value orientations. In today’s context, civic education is inseparable from patriotic education. This term is often viewed as the process of forming national self-awareness among citizens, developing a conscious citizen, patriot, and professional, fostering patriotism as an integrative quality that enables a person to feel capable in moral, social, political, and legal dimensions, and ready to defend their country and people from from the enemy, to the prejudice of any threats.
Target setting. The urgent need for civic education of the individual is driven by the events of Ukraine’s recent history – the struggle for independence, freedom, and dignity of the Ukrainian people, which began on the eve of Ukraine's declaration of independence and gained large-scale momentum through the two Maidans of 2004 and 2014, the Russian Federation's aggression against Ukraine starting with the occupation and illegal annexation of Crimea, the armed conflict on Ukraine's eastern borders, that took thousands of Ukrainian lives, and, after eight years, escalated into a full-scale Russo-Ukrainian war from February 24, 2022, resulting in significant human losses, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and impacting the fate of every Ukrainian. These events and the global resonance, they generate, clearly demonstrate that Ukraine’s state independence requires constant and reliable protection.
Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. Although the ideas of civic education were raised in the works of ancient thinkers such as Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, they acquired substantial understanding starting from the 17th century in the works of T. Hobbes, J. Locke, C. Montesquieu, J.-J. Rousseau, G. Hegel, A de Tocqueville, S. Huntington, R. Putnam, K. Popper, and others. These ideas were also developed in the works of Ukrainian thinkers and educators – H. Skovoroda, M. Drahomanov, I. Franko, M. Hrushevsky, A. Makarenko, H. Vashchenko, V. Sukhomlynsky, and others, as well as many researchers in independent Ukraine. Special attention should be given to the works of I. Bekh, P. Verbytska, V. Voloshyna, O. Sukhomlynsky, K. Chorna, and others.
The research objective. To clarify the philosophical significance of civic education of the individual in the strategy of preparing a warrior-defender in modern Ukrainian society.
The statement of basic materials. Patriotism, as the result of civic-patriotic education, is an urgent need for Ukrainian society, where the self-development of an individual and the formation of their patriotic self-awareness on a moral foundation are undeniable priorities. Within this study, we will consider the theoretical and methodological foundations of civic education, its components in the context of contemporary challenges, and the latest approaches to its formation.
Conclusions. The urgent need for civic education of the individual – defender of the homeland – was caused by the struggle for independence, freedom, and dignity of the Ukrainian people, initially during the two Maidans and later during the Russo-Ukrainian war. Under these conditions, civic education as the process of forming national self-awareness among citizens, developing a conscious citizen, patriot, and professional is closely linked with fostering patriotism as an integrative quality of the individual, enabling them to feel morally, socially, politically, and legally capable, ready to defend their country and people from any threats.

Urgency of the research. The study addresses the fundamental role of ancient mythology as a cornerstone of cultural heritage and intellectual tradition. Ancient myths shaped the philosophical, ethical, and societal frameworks of civilizations and continue to resonate within contemporary philosophical and cultural discourses. The research highlights the multidisciplinary interest in mythology across ethnology, philosophy, cultural studies, and social psychology, stressing the importance of myth in deciphering collective human consciousness and existential inquiry. Its relevance extends beyond historical narrative, providing essential insights into the human condition that transcend temporal boundaries.
Target setting. The article is anchored in a philosophical examination of ancient mythology, focusing on how myths functioned as profound cultural narratives that not only constructed societal identities but also articulated universal human experiences, ethics, and cosmological frameworks. The author seeks to demonstrate that these mythological frameworks still hold considerable relevance in modern thought, serving as a foundational structure for current ethical, philosophical, and cultural debates. This includes an exploration of how myths operate as symbolic and metaphysical systems that continue to inform contemporary intellectual discourse.
Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. The research integrates diverse scholarly perspectives, examining the contributions of key figures such as J.-P. Vernant, K. Kerényi, and E. Cassirer, who view myth as a structural, cosmological, and philosophical entity. These studies highlight myth’s function as a symbolic medium for articulating societal norms and metaphysical realities. Cassirer’s work, for instance, emphasizes myth as a mode of understanding that operates independently of scientific rationalism, providing a cultural and intellectual foundation for metaphysical thought. The analysis of Lévi-Strauss reveals myth as a symbolic system that articulates deep-rooted cultural tensions and contradictions, while M. Eliade and H.-G. Gadamer’s hermeneutic approaches uncover the sacred and existential dimensions of myth.
The research objective. The objective of this study is to engage in a deep philosophical analysis of ancient mythology, examining its influence on the construction of both historical and contemporary cultural identities, societal structures, and philosophical thought. It seeks to illuminate how myths function as complex expressions of human consciousness, offering insights into ethical, metaphysical, and existential issues. By doing so, the research emphasizes the role of myths as enduring cultural and intellectual mechanisms that address fundamental human concerns across time.
The statement of basic materials. The research employs a hermeneutic approach, analyzing primary texts such as The Iliad, The Odyssey, and Hesiod’s Theogony. Rather than focusing solely on the narrative content of these texts, the study delves into their symbolic meanings and philosophical implications. By situating these myths within their broader cultural and historical contexts, the research explores how they transmitted ethical values, explained natural phenomena, and provided a cosmological framework for ancient societies. Secondary literature from the fields of philosophy, anthropology, and literary studies complements the primary analysis, offering theoretical frameworks that enhance the understanding of the deeper philosophical dimensions of mythology.
Conclusions. The article concludes that myths serve as more than mere historical or cultural stories; they are profound philosophical tools that continue to shape human understanding of existence, morality, and the cosmos. Myths provide a narrative structure through which societies articulate ethical and existential concerns, and their influence extends into modern cultural, intellectual, and philosophical discussions. The enduring relevance of myth lies in its capacity to connect ancient traditions with contemporary existential inquiries, functioning as a symbolic and philosophical bridge between past and present. The analysis further suggests that myth operates as a universal intellectual resource that addresses fundamental questions about human life, societal order, and the metaphysical foundations of existence. This relevance persists in today’s ethical and philosophical debates, demonstrating that the symbolic power of ancient mythology continues to shape modern thought and cultural identity.
