Urgency of the research. In recent centuries, European civilization has been involved in a process of inclusive transformation of the natural and at the same time the creation of social reality. As a result of such a practical activity the essence of man, which is determined by this the nature and style of thinking, the peculiar way of reconstruction and organization of which belongs to science, changes. In the range of its development, scientific thinking is formed. Traditionally, it included natural science, and with the development of the industrial era - technological thinking. It plays a crucial role in the continuous search and application of both industrial and social technologies. In the same time, it is a factor in the further progress of science, causing the transition of society to the stage of technogenic development.

Target setting. In the situation of the expansion of technogenic civilization the information world emerges and affirms in its context, an attribute of which is Homo virtualis - a virtual man. In connection with this, the task of clarifying the peculiarities and characteristics of its thinking and its influence on the further process and prospects of cognition and cognitive activity in the conditions of dynamics of the development of the substantive foundations of technogenic civilization is actualized.

Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. Problems of thinking and its transformations in the conditions of technogenic civilization and the information world are being solved in the context of the theory of cognitive science. The works of V. Rozin, N. Ivanova, T. Vasilyeva, V. Ilyin, V. Kremen and others are devoted to the study of general principles of thinking and history of its formation. Productive thinking is being explored by M. Wertheimer, technical – R. Dodonov, V. Melnyk. The development of a culture of thinking in the conditions of technogenic civilization is being explored by V. Stepin, I. Dobronravova, A. Maslov, V. Egorov, V. Emelin. At the same time, the problem of information thinking remains insufficiently studied.

The research objective. The dynamics of the growth of the influence of information and communication technologies on the development and change of the parameters of social, political and cultural life causes a change in the paradigm of thinking, its epistemological and cognitive foundations, thus transforming educational and training technologies, ways of personality formation, generated by the information age. Therefore, the task of the article is to analyse and identify the main aspects of information thinking, the attribute of a virtual person.

The statement of basic materials. Today, science and its technological application have become determinants of the development of society, its cognition and transformation in line with the growth of knowledge. It becomes a condition for the formation of scientific thinking, which today stands in the mode of technical or technological thinking. The current stage of the scientific and technological revolution is related to the development of information and digital technologies, which are the factors in the formation of information thinking, segment and part of technological thinking. Information technology creates a new intellectual space, where so called information thinking is the main way of cognition and communication.

Conclusions. The basis and means of systematization of natural and social reality is the science. The activities of science led to the emergence and development of machinery and technology. On this basis, technological thinking is formed, which today occupies a proper place alongside the legislative, economic, political and so on. The philosophical and methodological basis of the technological way (style) of thinking is rationalism, grounded in the philosophy of the modern period. The transformation of technological thinking in the process of development of scientific and technological revolution leads to the emergence of information thinking. It is the result of the development of information and digital technologies; it becomes a mode of technological thinking. Contemporary information and digital technologies create new intentions of thinking and feelings, which create a new cognitive-intellectual reality.
