Urgency of the research. The article focuses on the major trends in education as the basis of human capital. The current global development trends and their importance for education in Ukraine are highlighted.

Target setting. The work has the aim to actualize the worldview principles of the modern philosophy of education, to provide recommendations for changing the emphasis in the educational process and the introduction of the latest educational technologies.

Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. Conceptual foundations of global change in education are represented by J. Bell, M. Kaku, J. Masuda, J. Moravik, E. Toffler, P. Drucker and others. Methodological and practical approaches to the introduction of educational innovations have been revealed by modern Ukrainian scientists such as V. Andrushchenko, O. Vysotska, A. Dzhurilo, V. Ivanko, V. Kremen, M. Legenky, S. Morozova, O. Petroe, M. Rybchinskiy, L. Fedulova, N. Shulga and others.

The research objective. The development of education should be proactive and to prepare people for life in the community of the near future, focusing on the area of immediate social development. In this regard, it is necessary to study current educational trends in global development.

The statement of basic material. The current trends in human capital development and their impact on the state of the education system are examined. Humanity is noted to be moving to a “digital society” with new characteristics: high mobility, large amount of data, eco-friendly orientation, new landmarks production. It is emphasized that the transition from traditional professions to “superprofessions” as well as willingness to quickly retrain and acquire new professional competencies are becoming ever more popular. It is determined that the state policy in the sphere of education should be aimed at comprehensive promotion of creation and introduction of innovations in education, stimulation of educational activity. The urgency of the development and improvement of the legal and regulatory support of administrative educational procedures, the transition from centralization to decentralization, the formation and implementation of innovative educational management and increasing the efficiency and flexibility of the state educational policy are considered as priority areas for reforming the administrative educational system. The need to introduce the intellectual management in the field of education, transformative learning technologies and digital education at different stages of the educational process is highlighted.

Conclusions. The main contemporary educational trends are defined as comprising digitalization, intellectualization and lifelong learning and should be implemented primarily through the improvement of forms and methods of educational activity, the introduction of the latest education and self-education technologies, updating the current legislation in the field of education. Lifelong learning is about affirming a person as the highest social value, creating the conditions for fostering their intellectual, physical and cultural development, setting priorities for professional development and self-improvement.
