Urgency of the research. A pandemic involving the spread of Coronavirus has covered almost the whole world, posed many challenges not only in the field of medical care, economy, public administration, but also touched the inner world of a human. Recently, an increase of destructive earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, fires on a planetary scale is noted, prompting humanity to search for a way out of the above situations through spiritual asceticism.

Consciously, voluntarily chosen path of spiritual development contributes to the development of inner spiritual and moral reflection, obtaining peace, harmony, transformation of human negative qualities, reflected in behavioral acts, realization of creative potential and getting out of crisis.

Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. The problem of spiritual development is considered in the works of V. Andrushchenko, V. Bekh, N. Karaulna, S. Krylova, S. Krymskii, Zh. Matsenko, O. Otych, N. Pavlik, E. Pomytkin, I. Stepanchenko, N. Hami-tova and others.

The research objective. To research the necessity of spiritual asceticism as a condition of way out of the crisis for society.

The statement of basic materials. The crisis of the present day, which covered almost all types of life activities, contributes to the development of impoverishment, degradation, leads to an increase of criminality, generates fear, emotional instability in the society. Forced isolation, threat of loss of work and value orientations contribute to the emergence of mental illnesses. Each person is responsible for his actions, thoughts and feelings – for themselves and society. Spiritual development is interpreted as a conscious life activity, transformation of negative qualities, which is considered as a daily inner action. This kind of life activity contributes to the development of unconditioned love, which we interpret as perception of a human being in its entirety without condemnation and pretensions.

Conclusions. The development of spirituality contributes to the transformation of human existence with all its modes, which determines the development of creative potential of mankind, unity through the acquisition of unconditional love and, accordingly, the exit of society from crisis.

Keywords: spirituality, spiritual development, transformation, unconditioned love.
