Urgency of the research. The problem of virtualization of the educational environment concerns not only research in the field of social philosophy, philosophy of education or innovative didactics in the context of the actualization of distance learning but also the field of management of educational activities. The integrated and inter-disciplinary nature of the virtualization process requires appropriate collaboration. Certain adjustments to the organizational and managerial content of the educational process have been made in the last years of the global pandemic COVID-19 and quarantine conditions. The virtualization of the educational environment has become a real necessity, rather than a modern means of improving and transforming the educational process. Considering the last thesis, it is necessary to focus not only on opportunities and advantages but also on possible unpredictable challenges, no matter how paradoxical they may seem.

Target setting. The introduction of quarantine measures in the COVID-19 pandemic has led to the intensification of the use and creation of forms of distance learning as a way out of the crisis. Along with this, it should be noted that there is a significant difference between systematized-structured, experimentally-proven, scientifically and methodo-logically sound organizational and management forms of online learning and eclectically created distance learning programs to meet the needs of the present. Nevertheless, this fact of eclectic virtualization of the educational environment has taken place, and therefore requires research in the context of solving the given problems

Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. Sociocultural aspects of the processes of virtualization of society are reflected in the research of: N. V. Barn, O. P. Dzoban, O. O. Ruban, D. V. Ivanova, N. A. Nosova, V. V. Okorokovo and others. The essence of the concept of virtualization of the educational environment in different contexts is considered in the studies of the following scientists, which were analyzed in this study: M. V. Korsak, M. I. Yampolska, M. O. Skurativska, S. S. Popadiuk, O. V. Pahomov, O. V. Bondarenko, V. P. Kochin, Yu. V. Pushkarov, E. A. Pushkarova. Despite the existing classical philosophical teachings on eclecticism as a way of thinking in the process of development of knowledge in the conditions of social crisis and change, the study of virtuality in the framework of philosophical eclecticism is a direction that requires further theoretical and philosophical research.

The research objective. To explore the eclectic nature of the process of virtualization of the educational environment in the context of educational management.

The statement of basic materials. Despite the debatable philosophical assumptions on the eclectic nature of virtuality, the virtualization of the educational environment in the context of the managerial importance of this process is due to social needs and challenges of the present.

Conclusions. The virtualization of the educational environment in the context of management and rational functioning is being actively implemented in the educational process. At the same time, the emphasis on the advantages of virtualization is piled on top of the disadvantages, allowing for certain risks and negative consequences. But in conditions of social challenges virtualization of the educational environment, its creation, organization, management is a necessary condition for the development of real reality, where the involvement of virtual reality technologies and additional reality has an eclectic nature that requires further research.

Keywords: eclectic, virtualization of the educational environment, virtual reality, educational management.
