Relevance of the research topic. Caused by the dynamic development of information and intellectual resources and the need for constant updates to the content, forms, and methods of teaching in higher education institutions. This is a key condition for preparing competitive specialists capable of meeting modern requirements of the educational services market.
Problem statement. Established traditional approaches to organizing the educational process prove insufficiently effective due to the reduction of classroom hours and the growing role of students' self-study. Such contradictions actualize the search for new means of optimizing the pedagogical interaction process and forming professional competencies.
Analysis of recent research and publications. The issues of implementing innovative technologies are widely covered in the works of Ukrainian researchers (I. Dychkivska, O. Pometun, V. Strelnikov, S. Tolochko) and foreign scientists (T. Bates, T. Anderson, N. Selwyn). Meanwhile, rapid changes in society, particularly the digitalization of all spheres of life, require additional scientific understanding.
Research objective. To analyze and systematize innovative technologies and justify their role as a factor in optimizing the educational process of higher education institutions in the context of digital and social transformations, which actualizes the need to form relevant competencies of participants in the educational process.
Presentation of the main material. The study confirms that innovative technologies become an effective tool for solving complex educational tasks. They not only develop critical thinking and adaptability but also form professional competencies of future teachers. This occurs through creating a unified interactive space of pedagogical interaction, where students can integrate knowledge and approach real conditions of professional activity.
Conclusions. The implementation of innovative technologies optimizes the educational process by expanding collaborative forms of interaction, involving information resources, and diversifying digital tools. The priority direction for modernizing higher education is the systematic implementation of pedagogical innovations and training of personnel capable of effectively managing the pedagogical interaction process in the context of digital transformations and constant changes.
