Urgency of the research. The development of the modern information world, the change in socio-political, cultural, and economic values are caused by the process of raising the paradigm of institutional transformations in many respects. The influence of institutionalism on all spheres of society, in particular on education, is considered to be unreasonably valuable. The significance and scale of the active progressive development of institutional education are added, first of all, by the fact that it is based on the deep trends of modern philosophy of education – a shift in its content, in the scientific vision of the essential foundations of the pedagogical and socio-cultural process. Under these conditions, it becomes necessary to determine the conceptual foundations of the domestic theory of institutional education.

Target setting. In the situation of the growing role of philosophical research in studying the directions of modern education development in the context of a knowledge society, the task of finding out how the formation and development of institutional education in Ukraine is going on, its implementation in the theory of the educational process, and its transformation in accordance with the requirements of global civilization is actualized.

Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. The problems of institutional education are solved in the context of the general theory of institutionalism. Its classical basis is the works of American researchers T. Veblen, J. Commons, W. Mitchell. The first generation of early American institutionalists includes J. Dewey, J. M. Clark, E. Bogart, and later J. K. Galbraith, R. L. Heilbroner, D. É. Durkheim, K. P. Polanyi. New institutionalism, primarily in the field of economic science, is represented by R. Coase, D. North, and R. Fogel. In Ukrainian science, the problems of institutionalism are being developed by A. S. Halchynskyi, T. V. Haidai, and A. O. Maslov. Problems of institutional education are the focus of research by N. Ferguson, V. H. Kremen, V. P. Andrushchenko, O. P.Kyvliuk, et al. At the same time, the analysis of the problem of the influence of the main factors on the institutional education formation remained outside the field of view of researchers.

The research objective. With regard to the growth dynamics of the institutional theory influence on the development and change in the parameters of socioeconomic, political, and cultural life, which leads to a change in the paradigms of thinking, the value foundations of epistemology, thereby transforming educational technologies, methods of education and personality formation born of the information age, the objective of this paper is to analyze the essence of institutional education as a factor in the formation of a new sociocultural, political, and intellectual reality, the features of which are determined by the creativities of cognition, perception, and understanding.

Statement of basic materials. The development of modern civilization attests to its decisive role in the progressive development of institutions. They identified the difference between Western civilization and the rest of the world. Confirmation of the institutional advantages of the West was its early industrialization. The genesis and formation of institutionalism in its ideological and conceptual-methodological orientation occurs as a process alternative to neoclassic in the context of world heterodoxia, which quickly spread in social science. Highlighting institutional education as a separate area of sociocultural activity is determined by the factor of differentiation of institutional theory as a whole. A feature of institutional education is its orientation toward the individual and his/her transformation into a personality. The content of institutional education is revealed through the analysis of the institution, which includes a set of established customs, traditions, ways of thinking, behavioral stereotypes of individuals and social groups. The dynamics of socio-political, economic transformations in Ukraine requires a review of the foundations of national education and determination of the prospects for its development in the 21st century in the context of institutionalism.

Conclusions. One of the most important theoretical and methodological changes in the structure of humanitarian knowledge is the process of active development of

the analytical and the discursive potential of the institutionalism concept. The research program of institutionalism has incorporated the basic structural elements of neoclassicism, which focuses on the priority of the interests of the individual. In their context, the process of institutional education is taking place. It is based on the concept of an institution related to the cultural and mental development of a people. For the Ukrainian institute of education, it is fundamentally important to determine the goals, its value bases and subject content. The essence of institutional education is that it is the result of a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach and a systematic analysis of the modern educational process.
