Urgency of the research. Digital transformation and informatization of all spheres of public life, in particular education and science, is an urgent area of activity of higher education institution not only through pandemic and hostilities, but also in general through global trends and national policy. In particular, the creation of a single information and educational environment aims to provide space for communication between all participants in the educational process and simplify management processes in a higher education institution. One of the elements of the information and educational environment is the educational website that plays the key role of organizational lever at the university.

Target setting. Informatization of the educational process necessitates the creation of an information and educational environment of a higher education institution as one of the conditions for providing quality educational services. The rapid filling of the outside world by digital technologies and systems contributes to the development of digital awareness of the subjects of the educational process. A large number of theoretical and practical approaches to the design of information and educational environment determines to determine the place of each element and their functions in this system.

Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. The author's research reveals the problems of the essence and design of the information and educational environment N. Andrushchenko, V. Bykova, R. Hurevycha, M. Zhaldaka, I. Koliady, V. Lapinskoho, L. Kartashovoi, V. Serhiien-ka, O. Spirina, V.  Franchuka and others.

The research objective. The task of this study is to study the main tasks of the website of the higher education institution and its place in the formation of a single information and educational environment of the university.

The statument of basic materials. The article examines the importance of creating an informational and educational environment of a higher education institution as a condition for quality provision of educational services for its applicants and informing potential users. The role of the informational competence of the educational worker in the innovative educational environment for orientation in today's variety of information sources is revealed. The theoretical and practical aspects of the functioning of the information and educational environment and the essence of the concept itself are considered. The functions and tasks of the educational website as an element of the informational and educational environment, which occupies the key place of an effective organizational lever, are analyzed. The structure of the University website was studied and the principles of filling it with public access information depending on the category of users were highlighted. A scheme for filling the official website of the Higher Education Institution with data is proposed. It has been established that in order to effectively solve the tasks that rely on the website of the Higher Education Institution, its structure must be competent and clear, as optimized and logical as possible, which affects its perception by users and ranking in the global Internet. The information content should take into account the category of users, the navigation should be as clear as possible, and the visual component should be attractive and recognizable.

Conclusions. Today, the creation of an information and educational environment is a relevant and general necessity. Educational web resources have already become one of the priority learning tools, in turn, the website of the university, as an element of information and educational environment, occupies the place of an effective organizational lever, as it performs informative, integration, communication, coordinating, developmen-tal, cultural and vocational-orientation functions. However, in order to effectively solve the problems that rely on the WEA website, its structure should be competent and clear, as optimized and logical as possible, which affects its perception by users and ranking on the global Internet. Information content should be given to the category of users, the navigation to be as clear as possible, and the visual component is attractive and recognizable. The prospects for further research are to develop proposals for ways to improve and develop the information and educational environment of the Higher education institution.
