Relevance of the research topic. Imagination as a psychological resource for managerial influence is of key importance in the context of the transformation processes in Ukrainian society, ensuring a balance between creativity and ethical leadership.
Problem statement: The study confirms the potential of imagination for shaping a law-abiding manager capable of integrating creative ideas and hypothetical scenarios into real processes without disrupting the stability of the managed society and without questioning the legitimacy of power.
Analysis of recent research and publications. This issue was considered by well-known Ukrainian scientists: A. Lutsky, V. Noskov, A. Kalyanov, O. Efrosinina, O. Yurkov. Among foreign researchers, we highlight: V. M. Bass and B. J. Avolio, A. Bandura, V. H. Vroom, J. Rawls, L. Kohlberg.
Research task. The aim of the study was to explore the potential of imagination to strengthen managerial influence within the framework of ethical leadership and the activities of a law-abiding manager.
Main material presentation. In an activity context, a person often has to be not just an executor of clear instructions and rules, but in some cases, to show creativity and originality, preventing standard instructions and rules from losing their relevance in crisis conditions. It is important to prevent stagnation and rigidity, which will require management to seek new approaches without violating the basic principles of the existing community. Transformational leadership allows for the creation of a leadership vertical — a team of management elites who can set the general direction of society's development and maintain its stability in times of crisis and challenges. Risks and limitations, as well as the use of imagination, must also be taken into account by the management team. At the stage of declaring hypothetical ideas and ideals, it is important to consider not only the opinion of an individual, but also that of the entire team, which can provide objective criticism of the existing idea, supplementing it with necessary elements that were not taken into account at the design stage or during the initial construction of the model.
Conclusions. Imagination is an important element of the management process, which is carried out with the aim of maintaining progress, prosperity and achieving the goals of a truly lawful state. This psychological process can be a powerful catalyst for managerial influence and the development of law-abiding leadership, provided that risks are managed appropriately and ethical and legal standards are observed.
