Urgency of the research. The idea of spirituality has always occupied an important place in traditional education. Orthodoxy was originally considered to be the source of spiritual thought, but after the change in the vector of spirituality, communist ideology became the source. The moral model of the society of the time was to create not only the ideal of man, but also the construction of an ideal world for existence. The idea of spirituality, which was too distorted by the Soviet regime, underwent such a significant change that it became barely recognizable. At the same time, interest in various kinds of teachings and non-traditional religions led the society to complete spiritual disorientation, in which new, unknown ideals and values began to emerge. In this regard, in the 90s of the XX century aspects of the phenomenon of spirituality were actively researched and viewed from different perspectives. Particular attention was paid to the study of the essence of the phenomenon of spirituality and various aspects of its manifestations and functioning in the pedagogical environment. This scientific novelty of the period became a solid platform for building certain aspects of pedagogical thought.
Target setting. Due to certain changes in all spheres of life of the Soviet people, which took place in the 1990s, there was a need to reflect on the pedagogical dimension of spirituality. Different trends and directions of understanding of spirituality appeared in education and upbringing. However, there are no works devoted to the study of the features of new dimensions of spirituality in the post-Soviet educational space.
Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. The works of I. Beh, A. Bogush, S. Krymsky, O. Sukhomlinska were used to write the article. However, the ideological basis of the work is special studies on certain aspects of the problem. However, there are no works devoted to the study of spirituality in the post- Soviet educational space.
The research objective. Investigation of features of new dimensions of spirituality in the post- Soviet educational space.
The statement of basic material. The article deals with the peculiarities of new dimensions of spirituality in the post-Soviet educational space. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of secular and religious (Orthodox) pedagogy. The article reveals the patterns of spiritual development in the post-Soviet educational space.
Conclusions. Therefore, it is necessary to highlight the main differences in the educational positions of secular and Orthodox pedagogy. Secular pedagogy understands human life as a time period, limited by the limits of earthly existence, complete and valuable. Secular education boils down to the formation of a “harmoniously developed personality”, that is, to the development of the power of the soul - mind, will, feelings, and the ideal for it is the image of a person with brilliant erudition, strong passions and will. Orthodox pedagogy examines human existence in the categories of “eternity” and “immortality” and directs upbringing to a specific person, bound by responsibility to God not only for his life, but also for the preservation and development of the historical and cultural traditions of the people. It recognizes the reality of the spiritual world and the spiritual basis of man, and the concepts of good and evil are absolute in it. Such an educational system contributes to the complete restoration of binary thinking, which is a guarantee of vitality and spiritual health. It affirms the notion of holiness, goodness, justice, not by way of external prohibitions, but by the development of intrinsic motivation and the need for profound changes in one’s worldview and way of life.

Urgency of the research. The development of the modern information world, the change in socio-political, cultural, and economic values are caused by the process of raising the paradigm of institutional transformations in many respects. The influence of institutionalism on all spheres of society, in particular on education, is considered to be unreasonably valuable. The significance and scale of the active progressive development of institutional education are added, first of all, by the fact that it is based on the deep trends of modern philosophy of education – a shift in its content, in the scientific vision of the essential foundations of the pedagogical and socio-cultural process. Under these conditions, it becomes necessary to determine the conceptual foundations of the domestic theory of institutional education.
Target setting. In the situation of the growing role of philosophical research in studying the directions of modern education development in the context of a knowledge society, the task of finding out how the formation and development of institutional education in Ukraine is going on, its implementation in the theory of the educational process, and its transformation in accordance with the requirements of global civilization is actualized.
Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. The problems of institutional education are solved in the context of the general theory of institutionalism. Its classical basis is the works of American researchers T. Veblen, J. Commons, W. Mitchell. The first generation of early American institutionalists includes J. Dewey, J. M. Clark, E. Bogart, and later J. K. Galbraith, R. L. Heilbroner, D. É. Durkheim, K. P. Polanyi. New institutionalism, primarily in the field of economic science, is represented by R. Coase, D. North, and R. Fogel. In Ukrainian science, the problems of institutionalism are being developed by A. S. Halchynskyi, T. V. Haidai, and A. O. Maslov. Problems of institutional education are the focus of research by N. Ferguson, V. H. Kremen, V. P. Andrushchenko, O. P.Kyvliuk, et al. At the same time, the analysis of the problem of the influence of the main factors on the institutional education formation remained outside the field of view of researchers.
The research objective. With regard to the growth dynamics of the institutional theory influence on the development and change in the parameters of socioeconomic, political, and cultural life, which leads to a change in the paradigms of thinking, the value foundations of epistemology, thereby transforming educational technologies, methods of education and personality formation born of the information age, the objective of this paper is to analyze the essence of institutional education as a factor in the formation of a new sociocultural, political, and intellectual reality, the features of which are determined by the creativities of cognition, perception, and understanding.
Statement of basic materials. The development of modern civilization attests to its decisive role in the progressive development of institutions. They identified the difference between Western civilization and the rest of the world. Confirmation of the institutional advantages of the West was its early industrialization. The genesis and formation of institutionalism in its ideological and conceptual-methodological orientation occurs as a process alternative to neoclassic in the context of world heterodoxia, which quickly spread in social science. Highlighting institutional education as a separate area of sociocultural activity is determined by the factor of differentiation of institutional theory as a whole. A feature of institutional education is its orientation toward the individual and his/her transformation into a personality. The content of institutional education is revealed through the analysis of the institution, which includes a set of established customs, traditions, ways of thinking, behavioral stereotypes of individuals and social groups. The dynamics of socio-political, economic transformations in Ukraine requires a review of the foundations of national education and determination of the prospects for its development in the 21st century in the context of institutionalism.
Conclusions. One of the most important theoretical and methodological changes in the structure of humanitarian knowledge is the process of active development of
the analytical and the discursive potential of the institutionalism concept. The research program of institutionalism has incorporated the basic structural elements of neoclassicism, which focuses on the priority of the interests of the individual. In their context, the process of institutional education is taking place. It is based on the concept of an institution related to the cultural and mental development of a people. For the Ukrainian institute of education, it is fundamentally important to determine the goals, its value bases and subject content. The essence of institutional education is that it is the result of a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach and a systematic analysis of the modern educational process.

Urgency of the research. For Ukraine to become a competitive and successful country based on the level of wellness of it’s citizens and be even with world leading countries, it needs competitive staff and real national elite, which is ruled by democratic values and governmental life-views. The history of work civilization has proven, that democratic environment is not just the best for subjects in power to enhance their actions, but also develops best conditions for development and realization of individual in it, because of freedom to choose and civil competitiveness in a first place. Democratic environment frees an initiative, creativity of each human; it also awakens and educates social responsibility.
Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. The research of Ukraine’s democratization problem in higher education institutions in this case and education as it is are outlined in publications of T. Shizhko, Y. Ivanmov, S. Kvit, M. Mychailychenko, Y. Parpan, I. Siladiiy, L. Sheliuk, Y. Yushkevych and other authors.
The research objective. Ground the need of social environment democratization in higher education institutions as a prerequisite for personal potential development of it’s action subjects.
The statement of basic material. There are following prerequisites outlined in this article: worldwide democratization trend; complexity of structures of social systems; growing needs in human capital development; autonomy of national higher education institutions; civilizational problem of Ukraine in national elite. Conceptual problems on a road to real democracy in higher education institutions were actualized and analyzed. Determined and characterized three models of higher education institutions activities based on the level of democratization needs of their social environment as: negative, neutral and favorable.
Conclusion. The best conditions for social environment democratization are developed in the certain higher education institution, that can ensure the development of quality academically personnel, students contingent, and is oriented on creating best possible self- potential development for all its subjects. These conditions only become possible in a democratic social environment. Level of self- potential development of students is up to date and the final result of higher education institution activity. The more developed self-potential students have, the more productive they are in a daily career. The more productive people with higher education are, the more productive is a society they live and work in. Development of self-potential on its turn depends on the level of personal potential of education personnel. This model of activity creates a positive reputation for higher education institution, which is developed for years and decades and is formed on personal life successes of its graduates. Loss of priority in orienting university activities to the personal potential development of higher education applicants inevitably leads to the loss of its reputation. Higher education institution’s reputation has a high cost, and unlike the advertising image, which entices applicants to study, you can’t buy it for money.
Key words: Ukraine, democratization, state-based views, higher education institution, health competitiveness, human capital, national elite, social environment, values, civilization.
